UB students had the opportunity to “drop” courses at any time before the end of the second week of classes. The last day to drop (or add) UB courses for the Spring 2007 semester was by Friday, January 26, 2007.
From the beginning of the third week of classes until the end of the 11th week of classes, students may call BIRD or visit MyUB and “resign” from one or more of their classes. The last day to resign a spring 2007 semester course with the grade of “R” is by Friday, March 30, 2007 (by 11 pm). While students do not need the permission of an instructor to resign, if a student is planning on resigning a course, it is strongly recommended that they speak with an academic and financial aid advisor regarding the possible impact. The action of resigning a course means that an “R” remains on a student’s transcript as a neutral indicator of the action.
Be sure and learn more about other student calendar listings of important academic, financial, and billing date information.
Taking summer courses can be an excellent strategy to help students get back on track academically or to help students move ahead.
All undergraduate UB students can begin registering for UB Summer Sessions starting on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Please note that set registration windows do NOT apply for UB summer registration.
Browse the UB Summer Sessions Class Schedule and plan ahead for your summer courses. Also, visit the Summer 2007 Registration web page through the Student Response Center and learn about UB’s summer tuition and fees, maximum credit hours allowed per summer sessions, add/drop/resign dates, and so much more.
And if you plan to attend another school this summer, be sure you consult with an academic advisor and utilize TAURUS, which is UB’s transfer and articulation web site.
